1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect
- Form data: full name, phone / WhatsApp number, email, where you live (city, country), trade, years of experience, English level and any notes you add.
- Technical data of the submission: IP address, browser type, date and time, page address — used to prevent spam and abuse.
- Measurement cookies, only if you accept them (see section 8).
We do not ask for, and ask you not to include, passport or ID numbers, health information, bank or card details, religion, caste or other sensitive data.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To contact you and assess your profile for job opportunities in Portugal: at your request, before any contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — and with your consent given in the form (DPDP Act, s. 6).
- Form security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Measuring advertising campaigns with cookies: only with your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time via «Cookie settings» at the bottom of the main page.
Fields marked * are needed to contact you. This form does not make any automated selection decision.
4. Who receives the data
- Authorised S&A Recruitment staff (recruiters, administration).
- Service providers acting on our instructions: the marketing agency that runs this page and the ad campaigns, and the hosting provider of this page (OVHcloud, servers in Canada).
- Employers in Portugal — only when you are being considered for a specific role, and only after we tell you.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Transfers between countries
The server that receives this form is in Canada, which is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision. Your details are then handled by S&A Recruitment in Portugal (EU). If you accept measurement cookies, Meta, TikTok and Google may process data in the United States or other countries under their own safeguards (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
6. How long we keep it
Up to 12 months from the date you send the form, then deleted, unless you start a recruitment process with us (then the retention rules in our main privacy policy apply). Technical logs: up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to candidates@smithandadams.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before. You can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your country (in India, the Data Protection Board of India).
8. Cookies and measurement tools
- Necessary (always on): we only store your cookie choice in your browser (key
sa_consent, in localStorage). Nothing is sent to third parties. - Measurement (only with consent): Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.), TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Ltd.), Google Ads / Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.). They tell us how many people arrive from the ads and send the form. We do not send your name, phone, email or any other form data to these tools — only the event «form sent».
If you click «Decline», none of these tools is loaded.
9. Beware of scams
S&A Recruitment never asks for money for a job, a visa, an offer letter or to move an application forward. Report any such request to candidates@smithandadams.com.
